Our Roots and Expanding Branches

Founded in November 2017 by Sarah "Feather" Jervis, Serenity began as a haven specifically for guinea pigs in need. Sarah's unwavering dedication to these often-overlooked creatures laid the foundation for what we are today. Over the years, as our organization blossomed and our understanding of the needs within our community grew, we recognized a broader calling. We saw the same need for compassion and care extended to other small animals—rabbits with their gentle hops, hamsters with their curious spirits, gerbils with their playful energy, and more.

Today, Serenity Guinea Pig and Friends Rescue proudly embraces this expanded mission. We open our doors and hearts to all small animals who need refuge, whether they've been abandoned, neglected, or surrendered. We believe that every life, no matter how small, deserves a chance at happiness, and we are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of these deserving creatures.
