Forever Residents at Serenity

Here at Serenity Guinea Pig Rescue, we believe every piggy deserves a loving home, even if they aren't able to be adopted. This page is dedicated to our "Forever Residents" – those special animals who will live out their days with us, receiving the best care and lots of love.

Some of our residents are older piggies enjoying their golden years, while others may have special needs or health conditions that require ongoing care. Some are bonded pairs who are inseparable and thrive in each other's company.

While these animals are not available for adoption, you can still make a difference in their lives! Learn more about our Forever Residents below, and consider sponsoring their care or making a donation to help us continue providing them with the happy and healthy lives they deserve.

Buddy is a sweet and gentle lethal white guinea pig who will be spending his life at Serenity. He is deaf and has a cleft palate, which requires a bit of extra care to make sure he gets the nutrition he needs. Despite these challenges, Buddy maintains a sunny disposition and loves to snuggle up in a cozy fleece bed. He's a happy and healthy boy who brings joy to everyone he meets.

Simon is a friendly and curious lethal white guinea pig who will be living out his life at Serenity. He is both blind and deaf, but that doesn't slow him down one bit! He loves to explore his surroundings using his other senses and enjoys having his chin scratched. Simon is a true inspiration, showing us that even with challenges, life can be full of joy and adventure.

Henry and Mouse are two very special residents who will be spending their lives together at Serenity. Henry is a handsome satin boy who, despite having a condition called "satin syndrome," is a happy and active piggie who loves to munch on hay and explore his cage. Mouse is a sweet senior boy who didn't have the easiest start in life, but he's blossomed into a loving and gentle companion who enjoys the quiet life.

Because of Henry's satin syndrome and Mouse's advanced age and need for a more peaceful environment, they'll live out their days together at Serenity, where they'll be pampered and loved unconditionally.

Furby is a charming guinea pig with a beautiful satin coat. Like Henry, he also has "satin syndrome," which can sometimes cause health issues. But Furby doesn't let that slow him down! He's a happy and energetic boy who loves to play with toys, explore his surroundings, and interact with his human friends. He's a real cuddlebug and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up in a fleece blanket for a nap.

This spunky group of girls brings a whole lot of personality to Serenity! Each of these girls has their own story. Onix has a sensitive tummy and requires a special diet to keep her healthy. Mary Jane and Grandpa, despite being almost 4 years old, never quite grew past the baby stage – they're our "pocket piggies"! Banana is a staff favorite and stole everyone's hearts when she had some dental issues (all fixed now!).

This lovely group of ladies will remain together at Serenity, where they'll have plenty of space to roam, play, and enjoy each other's company.

Yehuda, Yisroel, and Yakov are three handsome guinea pigs who are living the good life together at Serenity. These boys are a comical trio who love to keep things interesting! Yisroel is the troublemaker of the bunch, always getting into mischief. Yakov is the more laid-back one, content to watch the world go by from his cozy hideaway. And Yehuda? He's the peacemaker, always trying to keep the peace between his brothers. They love to popcorn around their cage, munch on hay, and snuggle up for naps. They are a joy to watch and always bring a smile to our faces.

These three amigos will remain together at Serenity, where they'll have plenty of space to roam, play, and enjoy each other's company.

Missy is a special girl who has been through a lot. Shortly after being rescued by another organization, she gave birth to a dozen babies! Being a mama can be tough, and Missy has had a difficult time regaining her weight and strength.

To give her the best care and support, she's living full-time with one of our amazing staff members, where she's become a cherished part of their family. Thank you Khadija for being such a great bun 'mom to her after all she's been through.

Missy is still awaiting her spay surgery, but in the meantime, she's enjoying all the love and attention she can get. She loves to cuddle, enjoys gentle petting, and has a sweet and gentle nature. While Missy isn't available for adoption, her story is a reminder of the resilience of small animals and the importance of providing them with loving care.

Each of our Forever Residents has a unique story. They may have special needs, be enjoying their golden years, or simply thrive in the company of their fellow residents rather than in a traditional home environment.

That's what makes Serenity more than just a rescue—it's a sanctuary where these special piggies can live out their days in peace and comfort. We are dedicated to providing them with individualized care and ensuring they live full and happy lives. Thank you for your interest in our special crew!
